1. Lamarcus Joyner (DB) St. Thomas Aquinas

One of the most high-profile transfers in Florida prep history, Joyner enrolled at St. Thomas Aquinas in February after establishing himself as the best player in Dade County as a junior. A three-year starter at Miami Southwest, Joyner is a 5-foot-8, 170 pound striker with elite-level speed and ball skills. Arguably the hardest hitter pound-for-pound in the nation, Joyner is being recruited as a corner and received a litany of national offers, but has focused his recruitment to Florida State and Ohio State. The addition of Joyner to an already loaded Raiders secondary could give St. Thomas Aquinas the best pass defense in the nation.

2. Giovanni Bernard (RB) St. Thomas Aquinas

With over 2,000 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns through two years, Bernard is widely considered the best running back in the state. At 5-foot-9, 205 pounds, Bernard uses his height to hide behind blockers and then explode through the line with tremendous burst and vision. The younger brother of former Oregon State tailback Yvenson Bernard, Giovanni has seen his recruitment take off since last fall, receiving offers from the Big 3 as well as Notre Dame, Alabama, Tennessee, and Nebraska.

3. Ivan McCartney (WR) Miramar

While Miramar will have to overcome the loss of star quarterback Eugene Smith, the Patriots have the luxury of returning another highly-regarded prospect in McCartney, a 6-foot-2, 170 pound flanker who has dominated the camp circuit over the summer. While McCartney only had 21 receptions as a junior, 12 of them went for touchdowns. Along with being a vertical threat, McCartney is a precise route-runner with tremendous hands and body control. McCartney has received over a dozen scholarship offers, with programs like Florida, Miami, and West Virginia fighting for his signature.

4. Brandon Linder (OL) St. Thomas Aquinas

The Raiders always produce quality offensive linemen, but Linder is the school's best in a number of years. A great drive-blocker and dominant center in high school, Linder stands at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds and is actually being recruited as an offensive tackle by most college programs. That level of versatility from an offensive lineman is rare and the primary reason why Florida, Miami, Notre Dame and Ohio State all have Linder as one of their top priorities.

5. Demar Dorsey (DB) Boyd Anderson

When Urban Meyer gives someone a committable scholarship offer during their junior season, you know that kid can play. That's exactly what happened to Dorsey, a 6-foot-1, 175 pound corner/safety prospect who hasĀ been committed to the Gators for almost a year. Known for his world-class speed, Dorsey posted a blazing 10.55 100 meter time at the BCAA Finals this spring. His combination of height, speed, and agility is rare and makes him one of the most versatile players in the state.

6. Cody Riggs (DB) St. Thomas Aquinas

- At 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, Riggs isn't the biggest corner but more than makes up for his size with elite-level speed and technique. Having seen his stock skyrocket over the summer, Riggs will have the opportunity for an even bigger senior season as teams shy away from Joyner. Like his teammate, Riggs has become a nationally recruited player, and has narrowed his college choices down to Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

7. David Perry (DE) University School

Broward county is full of intriguing prospects, but maybe none more so than Perry, whose junior season was his first year playing football after moving from Jamaica. At 6-foot-6, 235 pounds, Perry has an NFL-frame and the kind of physical gifts that don't come around very often. Although very raw in his technique and experience, Perry recorded 47 tackles and 8 sacks in his first season. That was enough to net over twenty scholarship offers, highlighted by the Big 3, along with Alabama, Oregon, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

8. Tony Grimes (DB) Hollywood Hills

Yet another heavily recruited defensive back, Grimes has also seen his interest explode with a strong summer on the camp circuit. At 6-foot-0, 165 pounds, Grimes has the combination of height and coverage skills that college programs covet in a cornerback. Grimes totaled 41 tackles and 4 interceptions as a junior and looks to have an expanded role heading into this season. His scholarship total is now in the double-digits with programs like Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and Ohio State leading the way.

9. Darius Millines (WR) American Heritage

Maybe the most versatile player in the county, Millines is a do-it-all athlete who will play quarterback, running back, wideout, and defensive back for American Heritage this fall. At 6-foot-0, 180 pounds, Millines has great speed and the ability to break down defenders in space. Millines has already collected double-digit offers and has West Virginia and Wake Forest as his top two choices.

10. Devon Wright (RB) Taravella

- One of the most underrated running backs in the state, if not nationally, Wright returns as Broward county's leading rusher, totaling over 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior. At 6-foot-0, 185 pounds, Wright has prototypical size and a great blend of quickness and strength. Lightly recruited until the spring, Wright now has several offers including Boston College, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin. Look for Miami to get involved during his senior season.
